The Black Gay Men’s Leadership Council Turns 2

Happy2ndcake(rev) (15k image)September 15, 2007 marks the 2 year anniversary of the BGMLC. On September 15th, 2005 the first meeting of a group of Black gay men in Philadelphia concerned about the lives of Black gay men took place. From that meeting, the then unnamed organization formed. On February 1, 2006, we formally became known as the Black Gay Men’s Leadership Council. For more information on how we formed and what we have done as an organization the past two years, click **here**.

To honor our 2 year anniversary, we are inviting the community to come celebrate with us. This **FREE** celebration will take place at **Club Heat, 112 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia PA, 5:30-7:30p.**

The celebration will include:
- Free give aways including a new national LGBT publication called “Pulse” and copies of a book containing essays and poems by Black LGBT writers about the Black LGBT experience.

- Live DJ

- appetizers & drink specials

- We have also invited both the Republican & Democratic Mayoral candidates for a meet and greet.

- Of course birthday cake!

We hope you will come out and celebrate with us! See you on September 20th.
