Support the Jena 6: Wear Black on Thursday 9/20

A peaceful protest is staged to take place in Jena, Louisiana on Thursday September 20th as people from all over the country will convene there to support the unjust sentencing of Mychal Bell. Bell is one of six men facing significant prison time because of a racially motivated fight that took place several months ago. Below is a video that gives some background on what happened.

To support the peaceful protest going on in Jena tomorrow, people are asked to wear all black tomorrow in support of Mychal Bell and the other 5 defendants. The Black Gay Men’s Leadership Council supports this effort and our members will be wearing all black to our 2 year anniversary celebration tomorrow to show our support for our brothers in the struggle in Jena.
