Your Vote Counts This Tuesday!
Dear Community member,
The election, on Tuesday November 6th, is a chance for us to elect Democratic judges who will rule the right way when laws to protect LGBT people are challenged. However, your vote alone may not be enough to counteract conservative voters from the rest of the state.
Every LGBT Pennsylvanian and ally needs to vote for Democratic judges to make a difference in the election on Tuesday. To make that happen, we need your help getting out the LGBT vote. The easiest way to do that is to go the places where a lot of us gather together–the bars.
Join other Liberty City members and Mayoral candidate Michael Nutter on a bar crawl Saturday night to get out the vote. Click here to sign up to pass out Liberty City voting guides at bars in the Gayborhood:

New Jersey, Massachusetts and California, and other states have passed laws that protect LGBT people from discrimination and offer civil unions or marriage. Every state that has passed these kinds of laws has seen the right-wing challenge them later in court.
Conservative voters in PA, who don’t want civil unions or employment protection for our community, will turn out lots of voters for conservative judges on Tuesday. The bar crawl is a fun way to help get members of our community excited about voting for judges to even the score with the right-wing.
It is also a great chance to meet new people who share an interest in politics and LGBT rights–not to mention that it is going be a lot of fun to take Michael Nutter to the bars!
If you cannot make it on Saturday, there are plenty of other ways to help get lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied voters get out to the polls. Check out other opportunities like a poster-hanging party, a Monday night literature drop in Center City and to sign-up to volunteer on Election Day here:
