On Sunday October 12th, Outfest will take place in the center city area.  For more information on Outfest, visit: http://phillypride.org/.  Starting at 6pm, the BGMLC as a member of the LGBT People of Color Coalition will be co-sponsoring 2 post-Outfest events.  One will be at Rainbow Eye, a Latino LGBT club located at 5th and Jefferson streets in N Philly.

The other party will be at Club Heat, 112 Chestnut Street in conjunction with Simply Christopher Entertainment.  The Club Heat party will feature a display of the work of Bryan Mell, a local Black gay photographer.  Bryan recently released a 2009 calendar featuring Black men and he will have these for sale at the party.  In addition, there will be free give aways at the event.

Both parties will feature drink specials and a fun festive atmosphere.  While you’re socializing, you will have the option to access information on things you need to know before going to the polls on November 4th and ways you can get involved in other initiatives happening in the city between now and Election Day.

We hope you will come out to support these events that are aimed to not only provide social spaces for our communities, but to also do our due diligence to bring important information to you as well.
